Well it’s been a year since I last posted here.
Back then, this was a blog site and I was writing about DeepSeek and thinking about where AI and technology were heading and how they could help families & those with extra needs. Since then, I’ve been much quieter publicly, but very busy behind the scenes. After I posted my last post, I thought that instead of writing about apps that could help those in need, I could be more active in my approach and actually create an application that could help.
So today feels like the right day to break that silence.
On Valentine’s Day (which feels quite fitting, although I did try hard for St. Dwynwen’s Day), I’m incredibly happy, and relieved, to say that Cwtch Corner is now live on the Google Play Store, currently only on Android but iOS coming in the future.
This app has been a proper labour of love.
Cwtch Corner was built around a simple idea:
What if children & Neurodivergent people could explore video content more independently, but within safe, carer curated boundaries?
As a parent and someone who works in tech, I’ve seen both sides. The internet is powerful and brilliant… but it can also be overwhelming. I wanted to create something that keeps the good parts – discovery, curiosity, independence, while removing the chaos & negative influence.
Cwtch Corner allows parents & carers to:
• Add and manage trusted YouTube channels
• Give people their own safe space to browse
• Maintain oversight without hovering
It’s not about locking everything down.
It’s about creating a calmer digital environment.
And honestly? Getting it approved and listed feels surreal.
There were moments over the past year where progress was slow. Moments where I wondered if I’d taken on too much. But today, seeing it officially live makes all of that worth it.
Launching on Valentine’s Day feels symbolic.
Cwtch Corner wasn’t built to chase trends or clicks. It was built from care. From wanting something better. From wanting tech to feel more like a cwtch – warm, safe, intentional.
This is just the beginning for Cwtch & Code.
